For 18 years the Home Builders Association of Greater Kalamazoo’s Senior Rampathon is a community event that brings together volunteers from the HBAGK, City of Kalamazoo, and Senior Services, Inc. who have donated their time, skills, and resources to build wheelchair ramps for local senior residents who are home-bound.
And for the past 5 years, volunteers from the HBAGK and the Kalamazoo United Way work together for the Junior Rampathon event and construct a wheelchair ramp for a local child with disabilities, or mobility limitations preventing them easy access in and out of their home.
The Senior Rampathon takes place in May and the Junior Rampathon in October of each year.
