Fast Built

Thank you, to the 100's of volunteers who donated their time and resources to the Fast Built Projects over the years!

For 23 years, Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity and the Home Builders Association of Western Michigan worked in partnership with a local family to build the annual Fast Built house.  In 2010, the Fast Built Project took a new twist, volunteer members of the Home Builders Association built a portion of the Kalamazoo Regional Public Safety Training Facility on Nazareth Road.  They built four training buildings within a large pole barn. The buildings are being used by fire and police departments across Kalamazoo County for training.

2014 Fast Built

For the 2014 project, volunteers from Home Builders Association and Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity came together to build a new home in Kalamazoo. The home went to a mother of 4 and is located in Portage. The event took place starting at 7am on September 18, 2014 and continued late into the night.
